I have to admit, living in the UK I had never heard of AfterPay until a few weeks ago. But now in every Australian Pay Per Click vertical I operate in AfterPay is appearing. Search terms for the company have gone through the roof in the past few weeks. From windows, to turf, to toys, to alfrescos – AfterPay is now appearing. It seems like the product has reached a tipping point in Australia and having looked at their Twitter account, they plan to internationalise in October. There are already UK competitors such as Divido but AfterPay may just be the next big FinTech company.
